The ecology of place and its impact on artistic experiences
Place has a great impact and effectiveness in establishing a network of relationships and intellectual values that connect a person with the social environment. In other words, it defines and shapes the artist’s affiliation and identity and the image of the place in which he lives. Ecology is a world linked to the artist’s vital space and his attachment to things. Indeed, it goes beyond that and considers it an existential issue. Perhaps you love some vital things, such as the love of a father or mother, or a girl, or other beings such as a cat, a dog, a bird, etc. from biological beings. This is first of all, as well as material things such as a doll, a work of art, or A brush, a pipe, a shirt, a table...etc. are among those things that are associated with the artist or the ordinary person. The space is loaded with these things, in line with the artist’s consciousness, calming the mind and internalizing the self, so the artistic product is based on those images that participate with the artist’s feelings and emotions while performing the work’s ceremonies. Artistic, so ecology, in its philosophical dimension, is the gateway to the environmental dream and living with the possible and the impossible, to be a magical reality that I chant. My works reflect images of lived places and their vital and material things that influenced my artistic imagination in order to create worlds that have a magical existence. These works were accomplished by constructing the subject and in an imaginative way with an ecological structure (I/things) to take our imagination deeper and further into it. The method adopted in dealing with these topics is determined by the image of the place in its ecological sense, the love of attachment to threads that cannot be realized except by creating that new moment that opens a path to happiness for my dimension. The self is rooted in the memory of the place, and the emotional feeling overwhelms me to bring me back to a memory in which my self summons the presence of the other. That place I want to be in. It is the place where we practiced vivid dreams, and where our imagination was formed.
My self seeks to expand by establishing the geometry of time with a system of relationships, so I try to reconstruct the removed and forgotten reality, with the ontology of the place whose image cannot be erased by the dust of time for me. My style of dealing with the nature of the place seems simple and reduced to details, but at the same time it is difficult and unique. All the shapes, including the table, the door, the balconies, the carpets, the walls, the windows, the vases, the cats, the birds, the fruit, the beds, the rooms for romantic meetings...etc. The subjects I painted carried within them the flavor of the lived time and the flavor of the place. Its ancient Iraqi smile is stuck in my memory... It is no wonder then that the high sense of the moment of drawing and love with the place, with its ecological concept and the importance of the far-reaching dimensions of nature, is an axis that no matter how much I follow it with great passion, it cannot be forgotten or overlooked without dealing with the theme of the place as a resource for self-enrichment and psychological balance, as well as The richness of color and technique in every work I practice throughout my artistic life.
